As for many artists, abstract drawing allows me to enter into a mindless state. This does not apply to times I am creating a realist piece, as this activity causes the opposite effect. However, in this specific drawing, not a minute of pre-planning occurred. I merely started creating lines, filling in places that felt right.
This piece is titled “Untangled” because this was the state of my mind while creating it: clear, unwound, and calm.
