This piece was commissioned as a Christmas present for someone who enjoys cycling outdoors. The client requested an abstract representation of trail-biking, using colors from the forest as inspiration.

I began by researching the shapes of bicycle wheels, determining how I could incorporate those shapes and patterns into the mandalas. The composition was organized to create the look of wheels moving up the page. As if following an outdoor trail, the wheels gradually separate to convey the motion of cycling.
