A Quick Excerpt

“Wait, there’s sea lions in North America!?”

If you were like me, growing up in a small town in Connecticut, USA resulted in an unfair assumption of mine that all of North America was boring and not worth visiting. Mind you, this was also when I thought Canada was part of Europe – I have since learned more about geography and traveled around the United States.

I now know there are beautiful landscapes and interesting cities worth exploring all around North America. I realized I don’t always have to travel abroad to learn about a new culture, sometimes there’s an entirely different way of life a few hours away!
