The sun and moon represent the start and end of each day. There is no greater reminder of the temporary nature of everything like these giant figures in the sky. No matter what happens during the span of each day, the sun and moon will rise to begin a new cycle, working together despite often being seen as contrasting elements. This piece is meant to showcase this concept, the two beings situated on opposites sides of the page, while also sharing characteristics and appearing as one.
